Hamza shared how Rebral Learn changed the way he thought about his workday and the way he approached everyday tasks.
"It actually definitely made me think differently about the way that I do things in my general workday."
So I was able to use Rebral for a couple weeks while they were still in beta testing, and I would say that it was an overall good experience. I was able to really pinpoint what areas of career skills I was lacking in and what areas I was already good at. And for me, the biggest thing that I gained out of using Rebral was figuring out what actually was my weak points. And that's one of my big limitations, is knowing where my weaknesses are. And so using Rebral was able to show me what those weaknesses were, and just knowing what those weaknesses were allowed me to start honing in on my skills on those weaknesses so I can build them up.
And doing that is kind of daunting, especially if you're not used to focusing on your weaknesses like me. I was definitely the type to kind of push it to the side and procrastinate on improvement, and you know, doing things that I knew I needed to do. So what Rebral helped me with was making it structured so that I could utilize a structured plan to tackle those weaknesses and tackle those areas that I needed to improve on with no hassle, and being able to just take all of the stress out of it and break it down into steps.
And it's a good learning tool to learn about yourself first and foremost, but secondly, it's good also to learn about how different work environments function and how to function within those work environments to the best of your ability and your own unique strengths and weaknesses. It just broke that down for me a lot more clearly, and that's one of the biggest benefits that I found from it.
Definitely had some takeaways. One of the takeaways that I had was to slow down, really, whenever I get stressed or find myself in stressful situations. I tend to kind of try to speed through it and mainly just try to exit that stress situation in any means possible, and sometimes that means cutting corners and doing things not with full effort. So what Rebral also helped me with was, number one, recognizing that that was a pattern that I had. I didn't even realize that I had that pattern. But number two, it also helped me realize that there are pretty simple ways to get through that, and sometimes it's easy to let go of common sense, and Rebral helped me to find my common sense again.
Helped me find my common sense again, and see that, like, the most simple solution to that is just to slow down. Just to slow down and take it one step at a time. And once you slow down, you can see, like, other creative ways to tackle situations that you might not have thought about. So for example, I realized that I was kind of getting into a routine and stuck habits that kind of was keeping me in those stressful situations. And so one of the things that Rebral suggested to me in the course of doing the modules is to switch, deliberately switch the things that you tend to make a habit out of. And once I did that, I felt like I could see a different side of the way that I did things, and it just felt like it broke down those barriers to help me better handle those stressful situations at my work.
And I'd say that was one of the biggest changes that I saw in my own work performance, and I really reflected in the way that I handled work situations and how my supervisor interacts with me as well, because my supervisor noticed that, and definitely improved that relationship as well. So multiple different improvements from using Rebral. I can only recommend it if you are struggling with how you handle things, if you're struggling with, you know, trying to tackle your weaknesses, or even knowing what your weaknesses are. I would definitely recommend using Rebral, and I can only say it was a positive experience.
"I really appreciate the program because it made me look at myself and what things I could approve upon."
